Often, the way we perceive ourselves and the way others perceive us are two very different things.

What is DISC?

DISC is a simple, practical, easy to remember and universally applicable model.

It focuses on individual patterns of external, observable behaviors and measures the intensity of communication characteristics for each of the four styles:

  1. Dominance,
  2. Influence,
  3. Steadiness, and
  4. Conscientious.

Using the DISC Assessment, it’s easy to identify your leadership communication style, recognize and adapt to the communication styles of your supervisor, colleagues, and direct reports -- and ultimately -- lead with excellence to achieve results!

It's Research-Validated

Based on the research of Dr. William Moulton Marston, DISC is the most widely used behavior profiling tool of its kind, supported by decades of research and validation.


Certified by the Assessment Standards Institute

There are many DISC assessments on the market. However, not all DISC assessments are created equal.

Because DISC is not subject to trademark, anyone can use the work of Dr. Marston and slap together an assessment.

The DISC Assessment used by Melena Consulting Group is Certified by the Assessment Standards Institute (ASI).

ASI provides verifiably objective testing and reporting that meet the standards established by the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

ASI's battery of tests is both voluntary and transparent. For more information, please read pages 2 and 40 of the sample DISC 360º Report below.

Before ordering, please review the sample report above and "How the DISC 360º Assessment Process Works" below. We're happy to help.


Working days are Monday - Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. PST/PDT, excluding major U.S. holidays.


How the DISC 360º Assessment Process Works


The Main User Manages Completion of the Assessment

Each Main User (the person others will observe) will receive an assessment link within one (1) calendar day of purchase. Tha Main User then completes the following three steps on the Assessment Platform to manage completion of the assessment process and to generate a report:

Step 1 – Completes the Self-Assessment portion of the DISC 360o.

Step 2 – Invites Others (Observers) to submit their anonymous observations. Please note the assessment requires a minimum of three (3) observers to generate a report. There is no maximum at this time.

Step 3 – Monitors for Submission of Observations

The Main User monitors submission of observations to ensure a sufficient number of observations are received.

Step 4 – Downloads a Copy of the DISC 360 Report

The Main User has easy access to download a copy of the report. However, the report cannot be downloaded until a minimum of three (3) Observers have provided feedback.

The Main User can download the report and provide a copy to Human Resources or your organization's designated person, based on your instructions.


Instructions to Complete the Assessment Process

Each Main User has access to step-by-step instructions within the Assessment Platform.

For your convenience, a PDF document with instructions is also e-mailed to the person who purchased the assessment within one (1) working day of purchase.


Your Purchase Receipt

Immediately upon purchase, you will receive an itemized receipt via the email.


Deadline to Receive Assessment Access Links

Within one (1) working day of placing your order, Melena Consulting Group will email the DISC 360o access link(s) to each Main User. Your organization's Contact Person (as listed on the assessment order) will receive an email confirming that the assessment link(s) was/were sent.


Deadline to Complete the Assessment

Main Users have 60 calendar days to complete the assessment process and generate a report. If you need technical assistance, please email CustomerCare@melenaconsulting.com to submit your request for an extension before ordering.


Important Information About Observers

The 360 Assessment requires a minimum of three (3) Observers for the report to generate data. However, it is recommended to invite ten (10) or more Observers to promote the psychological safety required to obtain candid feedback.

Two vital components of 360 feedback are making it optional and promoting anonymity. The more people invited as Observers, the more people feel their anonymity is protected.


Additional Administrative Support

The price listed for the DISC 360 Assessment is for a self-managed assessment, where the Main User invites Observers to submit their observations and coordinates directly with the Organization’s Contact Person.

For an additional fee, based on the number of Main Users and Observers, Melena Consulting Group can invite Observers on behalf of the organization and monitor submission. If you need this additional administrative support, please email CustomerCare@melenaconsulting.com to get a quote before ordering.


Price Does Not Include Training, Coaching, or Consulting

The price listed here only includes the DISC 360o and the robust 40-page DISC 360o Report. Training, coaching, and consulting are not included.
